When printing with non-standard size paper, we often put the paper in the manual feed tray. Since the size cannot be automatically identified like standard paper, we will enter the size on the device panel. Every time we put paper in, we have to enter it. Even if the custom size is stored, we need to select it every time, which adds trouble.
If you do not customize the size, three question marks will be displayed on the manual paper tray after loading paper, as shown below.
The sent print job will be stopped and you will be asked to put in paper of appropriate size, as shown below.
To solve this annoying problem, just master a little trick. In maintenance mode, change soft switch 69 to 01 to enter "Any Size Mode". It means: use the paper setting specified by the printer driver as the bypass tray paper setting and start printing without issuing a warning message.
The specific settings are as follows:
Turn on "Any Size Mode
1. Enter maintenance mode, select "System 2"-"Software Conversion Settings"
2. Convert the number "69" to HEX "01" and click "OK".
Printing method:
1. When printing, customize the original size in the driver

On new KM devices, this function is more conveniently added to "Administrator Settings" and "System Settings"
