Network scanning is one of the important functions of Xerox MFPs. It can scan paper documents into electronic files and save them to a specific location on the network, such as a shared folder or email address. This article will introduce the network scanning (mailbox scanning) setting method of Xerox MFPs in detail to help users make better use of this function.
What is network scanning (mailbox scanning)?
Network scanning (mailbox scanning) means sending scanned documents to a specified mailbox or folder on the network. This method makes it easy for users to share documents between multiple devices and improve work efficiency.
Setup Steps
1. Install the mailbox scanning driver:
2. Open the browser on the computer, enter the IP address of the copier and access the copier, click Scan - Mailbox - Select an empty address book and click Register:
3. Set the address book name (no password), click Apply new settings:
4. Click "Scan (Save in Mailbox)" on the copier panel:
5. Place the original, select the address name, select color mode as color, and press the Copy button:
6. Click the computer Start menu - All Programs - Fuji Xerox——Mailbox Browser 3:
7. Select the copier and click Next:
8. Select the mailbox name, check "Set as a common mailbox: Click Confirm:
9. Select the scanned file, click Import, and select the save location:

The scanning method is the same as above. After scanning the file:
1. Open the browser on the computer, enter the IP address of the copier and access the copier, click Scan——Mailbox——Select the corresponding mailbox, and click the file list display:
2. Select the scanned file, select the required file format, and click File Extract
Common Problem Solving
- Check the network connection to ensure that the MFP and the shared folder are in the same network.
- Confirm that the path and access permissions of the shared folder are set correctly.
- Confirm whether the scan resolution setting meets the requirements. You can increase the resolution appropriately to obtain a clearer scanned file.
- Clean the scanner glass regularly to prevent dust from affecting the scan quality.
